LUMIS, LORD OF LIGHT
18" x 24" Printed ink, graphite pencil, and white charcoal pencil on toned-gray paper. 2024.
Inspired from a character my dad created. Lumis is a wizard-god who has divinely inspired control over the lands such that he can move and manipulate the land around him. He is also a Lord of Light, so while he has control over lands, he also is a being of light, gaining his power from God (the ultimate source of power). I chose to represent this by placing a halo of moons (the moon reflects the light of a greater source) over his hooded head. I also gave Lumis a staff with a crescent moon below a shinning sun. Experimented with utilizing the screen-printing process along with drawing.
